At the current hour the fate of a man accused of murdering his wife with a nail gun, hangs in the balance. The jury has begun deliberation in the case Richard Williams who allegedly shot his wife three times with the powerful nail gun before turning the gun of himself in an unsuccessful suicide attempt. Williams attorney argued that it was not a premeditated act and that Williams is not the "homicidal manic" he has been portrayed as in the media. He argued that it was the complicated situation and withdrawal from Paxil that caused Williams to act in the manner that he did.

The prosecution has relied on the abundance of evidence and testimony of those who knew the couple. The defense relied heavily on the testimony of expert, Dr. Stuart Shipko, who testified to serious side effects that could be attributed to the withdrawal from the powerful antidepressant Paxil. Shipko offered explanations for Williams's actions and claimed that he may have been suffering from a mental disorder stemming from Paxil withdrawal.

Jury began deliberation at 9:15 this morning and has been asked by the prosecution to convict Williams of first-degree murder.
