Glaxo-Smith-Kline, the maker of the antidepressant drug Paxil, has settled a 64-million dollar class action lawsuit.

Glaxo was accused of misleading their consumers about its safety and failing to advise them of the possible adverse side affects and health risks associated with taking the drug Paxil.

In the lawsuit settlement, Glaxo-Smith-Kline was ordered to compensate consumers who can provide proof of their purchase of the drug Paxil.

Some time last year, the company and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned of a higher likelihood of suicidal behavior in young adults that were prescribed and being treated with the drug Paxil.
